Pan ymddattodo'r tŷ o bridd

(Myfyrdod y Cristion
ar ddydd ei ymddattediad)
             1,2,(3).

Pan ymddattodo'r tŷ o bridd,
A'm henaid i ddiengu'n rhydd,
O'r holl gadwynau mawrion sydd
  Yn dal yn awryn dynn:
Câf deimlo pleser uwch y rhod,
Na ddaeth i galon dyn erio'd,
I feddwl nac
    i greda fod,
  Y fath fwynhad a hyn. [WW]

Mae'r dyddiau hir i lawenhau,
O awr i awr yn agoshau,
Fe dderfydd hyn o fywyd brau,
  Dihanga i'm dedwydd nyth:
Lle ni ddaw pechod,
    byd, na chnawd,
I aflonyddu f'enaid tlawd,
Y'ngwedd f'anwylaf
    hynaf frawd,
  Câf ymddigrifo byth.        [MR]

Myfyrio am fyn'd sydd felus iawn,
I'r pur ardaloedd hyfryd llawn;
Mae f'enaid am
    gyn'fino ei ddawn,
  I chwareu ei aden glir;
Fel pe ba'i am anturio'n hy
Trwy ganol y cymmylau fry,
A neidio i mewn i blith y llu,
  Lle mae'r Messia gwir.      [WW]

          1,2,3;  1,3,4.

Pan ymddattodo'r tŷ o bridd,
A'm henaid i ddiengi'n rhydd,
O'r holl gadwynau cryfion sydd
  Yn dàl yn awr yn dỳn,
Câf deimlo pleser uwch y rhod,
Na ddaeth i galon dyn erioed
I feddwl nac i gredu fod
  Y fath fwynhad a hyn. [WW]

Fy Nuw, fy Nuw, i gyd ei hun
Fydd fy anfeidrol gariad cun,
Llawenydd anchwiliadwy'n un,
  A hedd o hono dardd;
Eangder o oleuni clir,
Mwy dysclaer nag o'r dwyrain dir,
Môr o bleserau perffaith pur,
  Gwrthddrychau nefol hardd.  [WW]

Llawenydd bythol i'w fwynhau
Byth ar fy nghoryn yn ddilai,
A chariad perffaith i barhau,
  Heb nabod diwedd mwy:
Galar a griddfan ymaith ffŷ,
Achwynion a chystuddiau lu,
'Madawant yn y nefoedd fry,
  Trwy rinwedd marwol glwy'.  [WW]
ddilai :: ddidrai
'Madawant :: A 'medu

  O Arglwydd Ior anfeidrol yw
  Pa beth a wnaf fi yma'n byw?

(Meditation of the Christian
on the day of his dissolution)

When the house of soil dissolves,
And my soul escapes freely,
From all great chains which are
  Holding now tight:
I will get to feel pleasure above the sky,
Which never came to the heart of man,
Neither to think nor to
    believe that there be
  Such enjoyment as this.

The long days to rejoice, are
From hour to hour drawing near,
This will vanish from fragile life,
  I shall escape to my happy nest:
Where neither sin, world,
    nor flesh shall come,
To disturb my poor soul,
In the countenance of my
    dearest, oldest brother,
  I will get to take delight forever.

Meditating about going is very sweet,
To the pure, fully delightful regions;
My soul want to become
    aquainted with its gift,
  To play its clear wing;
As if wanting to venture boldly
Through the centre of the clouds above,
And leap in amongst the host,
  Where the true Messiah is.

                 - - - - -

When the house of soil disolves,
And my soul escapes free,
From all the strong chain that are
  Holding now tight,
I shall get to feel pleasure above the sky,
That never came to a man's heart
To think nor to believe that there be
  Such enjoyment as this.

My God, my God, himself altogether
Shall be my dear, immeasurable love,
Joy just as unsearchable,
  And peace issues from him;
Breadth of clear light,
More radiant that from the eastern land,
A sea of perfect, pure pleasures,
  Beautiful, heavenly objects.

Everlasting joy to be enjoyed
Forever on my head no less,
And perfect love to endure,
  Without ever knowing any end to it:
Mourning and groaning away shall flee,
Complaints and a host of afflictions,
They shall depart in heaven above,
  Through the merit of a mortal wound.
no less :: unebbingly
They shall depart :: Which shall depart
